In the early nineties, Mario Testino began to show a unique and personal photographic language of his own, which he had created by looking back to his life growing up in Perú and summers spent in Brazil, during his teenage, where he felt inspired. Testino was inspired by how photographer masters portrayed the society of our times. In London he made his first pursuits as a photographer at the studios of John Vickers and Paul Nugent, his first work was published in Vogue, 1983. ![]() He moved from Perú to London in 1976 to complete his studies in Economics, Law and International Affairs, which he later abandon to study photography and funded himself working as a waiter. He was born and raised in a traditional Catholic family, a very distant world from the world of fashion and Hollywood. Testino (Age 64) was born in Lima – Perú, October 30, 1954. ![]()
